Cocoloco Boracay beach resort.

Cocoloco Boracay beach resort.

Boracay Island, It was finally time to visit this slice of paradise that everyone has been telling me about. I booked a lovely place called:”Cocoloco Boracay Beach Resort”, in station 3. After arriving there, I was blown away by the paradisiac view that was just in front of my hotel. What is amazing about this resort is that it’s among the first ones on the island and is one of the fewer ones that have kept a beautiful and natural environment surrounding it, which makes it really easy to feel peaceful and relaxed. The picture above was the view I had every morning when I walked out the door to start my day.  Just looking at this picture reminds me of how beautiful this place really was and makes me miss it.

The facade of the resort, which is facing the sea. That is also where you can eat, grab a drink or simply play pools.

Almost everything in my room was artistically hand made from wood debris.  One of this room’s advantages is that it’s near the beach and the hotel’s bar/restaurant. The downside of this room is that it’s above the kitchen, and you can sometimes hear the staff preparing food in the morning.  If you like sleeping in, I suggest booking one of the newer rooms in the back. Overall, the room was super nice and my stay very pleasant as I was always waking up early.

This is where the other rooms are, about 30 to 60 meters away from the beach, in a more secluded & peaceful area.

My breakfast was delicious and gave my day a good start. I definitely recommend trying out their menu. What I tried, one morning, was Cocoloco’s “Canadian breakfast”; bacon, eggs & pancakes with butter. My beverage was of course, a smoothie made with fresh ripe mangoes. . During the evening, I tried their signature drink called the “Cocoloco special”, which is a coconut filled with 12 different spirits!! After having one of those you can definitely say that your fun factor multiplies by 5.
Cocoloco’s staffs were always there to fulfill all of my needs, and were also very kind and polite.  Station 3, where the hotel is located, isn’t as crowded as station 1 & 2. I highly recommend this place to people who like a more quiet and peaceful stay. The natural/Filipino style ambiance that comes with it is also a huge plus.
